ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The 2014-15 Gulf South Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will be held on campus sites and at a neutral site. Post-season action starts with the Quarterfinals on Tuesday, March 3 at the No. 1, No. 2, No. 3 and No. 4 seeds. The Semifinals and Finals well be held on Friday and Saturday, March 6-7 at the Pete Hanna Center on the campus of Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.
Last year, No. 3 seed North Alabama won its first GSC Men's Basketball Title since 1996, sixth overall. The Lions made good on their first Finals appearance since 2000, upending No. 4 seed Christian Brothers which advanced to its third consecutive GSC Final. UNA topped the Bucs, 79-73. West Florida made school history on the women's side in 2014, claiming its first-ever GSC Women's Basketball Title. UWF won the crown in just its second finals appearance, topping No. 1 seed Delta State in the Finals, 67-59. A complete recap of last year's finals can be found here
