Lee Wins GSC Women's Track and Field Championship
ROME, Ga. - The Lee University women's track and field team claimed the top prize at Saturday's GSC Championship Meet. Trailing by one point heading into the final day, the Lady Flames used seven first place performances to propel them to a conference crown.

NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Anna Grace Govero (MC) topped her own meet record with a time of 14.34 in the 100m hurdles. That was also the top time in the league this season, a mark Govero also held.
- UAH's Alexis Luckett topped her season best, which was the conference's best mark, with a time of 55.09 in the 400m. It also is a new conference meet record.
- Lee's Adrian Martin took the top spot in the 100m dash, breaking her own meet record with a time of 11.66. That's also the best time in the GSC this season. She also broke the 200m record for the conference meet.
- Lee's Cayce Bryan 2:13.15 is a new conference meet record and the best time of the season in the GSC.
- Shorter's Miyah Golden's 1:02.14 in the 400m hurdles set a GSC Championship record.
- The Shorter 4x400m relay team set a new GSC Championship record and just missed its best time of the season by .04 seconds.
