- This is the second GSC Championship for the Union in women's basketball. It was the third appearance in the GSC Title Game in four years for the Lady Bulldogs.
- Union was the top team in the last regional poll and almost assuredly will host the NCAA South Regional.
- GSC Player of the Year
Chelsey Shumpert sustained an injury during the contest and only logged 17 of action. She was still named the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament.
