Buccaneers Outlast Argonauts to Earn Trip to Birmingham
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – With 5:15 left to play, Christian Brothers held an 11-point lead over West Florida. UWF came storming back, but CBU was able to hold on for a 65-64 victory and a trip to the GSC Semifinals.

KEY MOMENTS
A CBU 12-2 run midway through the second half put the Bucs out front, and the home team was able to withstand the run from the Argonauts and punch a ticket to Birmingham.
NOTABLE
- The two all-conference players for CBU (Adam Dieball and Jeff Larkin) combined for 39 points in the win.
- Dieball, last year’s GSC Freshman of the Year and a first team all-conference pick this season, also had eight assists and six rebounds to go along with no turnovers.
- The Buccaneers are back in the GSC Semifinals for the first time since 2014 when they made their second straight appearance in the GSC Championship Game, winning the title in 2013.
UP NEXT
CBU will take on the top-seed Blazers from Valdosta State on Saturday evening. VSU got the best of the Bucs in their last meeting, but Christian Brothers does hold a victory over Valdosta State this season.
