West Georgia holds off CBU in GSC Quarterfinals
CARROLLTON, Ga. – Five West Georgia Wolves scored in double-figures, including a double-double by Shannon Fowler, to help hold off Christian Brothers, 85-82, Tuesday in the 2015-16 VisitSpaceCoast.com Gulf South Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament quarterfinals.

KEY MOMENTS
West Georgia used a series of runs in the first half to build a 19-point lead, 45-26, with two minutes remaining before halftime. CBU cut it to 13, 46-33 at the break and then posted 49 points in the second half to make it a game. The Bucs got within a point, 83-82, in the final minute, but Steph Branch knocked down a pair of free throws with seconds remaining to secure the win. A 3-pointer by Jeff Larkin fell short on CBU’s last possession.
NOTABLE
-The game marked the second-straight Super Tuesday GSC quarterfinal matchup at UWG’s The Coliseum between the Wolves and Bucs.
- West Georgia improved to 17-0 this season when leading at halftime.
