Lee wins second consecutive GSC Cross Country Championship

NEW MARKET, Ala. - Lee took home its second consecutive GSC Men's Cross Country Championship on Saturday as four Flames runners earned All-GSC honors.
Lee was led by junior Harold Smith who finished in second with a time of 25:13.18. Smith was quickly followed by teammates Seth Eagleson and Christian Noble. Noble earned Freshman of the Year with his fifth place finish and 8K time of 25:32.32.
The individual medalist was Shorter sophomore Alfred Chelanga. Chelanga defended his title from last year's GSC championship with a time of 24:54.50. He is the first back-to-back individual champion since Alabama Huntsville's Blaise Binns in 2012 and 2013.
