VALDOSTA, Ga. – Alabama Huntsville’s Emily Glover allowed just one runner to advance past second base as the Chargers blanked Delta State 1-0 to advance in the 2015 GSC Softball Championship.

KEY MOMENT
UAH’s Hayley Thompson stole extra bases from DSU’s Madison Zoeller with a diving catch on the right field foul line in the seventh inning to help seal the game.

QUOTABLE
"It was extraordinarily important for us to do what we did today,” UAH catcher Abby Roberts said. “We had to hit the ball, and we had to play defense like we always have. I felt very confident at the plate today -- just see the ball, hit the ball -- and not swinging at bad pitches."

NOTABLE
·         UAH has reached the championship game of the GSC Tournament each of the last two years out of the losers bracket.
·         The Lady Statesmen managed only one run in three tournament games.
·         UAH ran their win streak versus Delta State in the GSC Tournament to four games.
