GSC Men's Basketball Student-Athletes of the Week
Birmingham, Ala. – Alabama Huntsville’s Justin Ward and Tanner Finley were named the GSC Men's Basketball Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday for games played Dec. 14-20. It is the second time this season, and third time in two years, both the Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week awards went to the same team. Christian Brothers claimed both following the first week of GSC action, Dec. 8.

- The sophomore came off the bench in both games to help UAH to a 2-0 week and reclaim first place in the GSC standings.
- Ward erupted for 27 points in 18 minutes off the bench in UAH’s win over Lee on Saturday - the largest point total of the season by a UAH player.
- He hit seven 3s in the win against Lee and did not have a free throw attempt.

- UAH (8-3, 5-1 GSC) will take a 13-day break to close December before GSC action resumes Jan. 2 with a trip to Mississippi College. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT.
