Alabama Huntsville claims women's GSC Cross Country Championship

Birmingham, Ala. — The University of Alabama Huntsville won the Gulf South Conference Women’s Cross Country Championships at Veteran’s Park in Hoover, Ala., on Saturday.
Alabama Huntsville had four runners finish in the Top 10, while it posted a total time of 1:36:25.39 (28 points), and also saw
Vicky Winslow claim her second-consecutive
Top Individual Medalist award with a time of 18:20.78.
North Alabama’s
Savannah Roland ran a time of 19:32.98 en route to
Freshman of the Year honors.
West Florida placed second with a total time of 1:39:47.31 (66 points). Finishing third was
West Georgia (95 points; 1:42:06.70), followed by
North Alabama (105 points; 1:42:20.71),
Valdosta State (140 points; 1:45:17.98),
West Alabama (143 points; 1:44:50.79),
Delta State (157 points; 1:45:52.22) and
Christian Brothers (198 points; 1:52:35.52).
