It is her first West Division Player of the Year award as she becomes the third consecutive Cotton Blossoms player, and fourth in five seasons, to earn the honor. Jackson, a junior, is the West Division Pitcher of the Year for the third consecutive season. The Hallsville, Tex., native won the GSC Pitcher of the Week award four times this season, as well as three Player of the Week honors and a National Player of the Week nod. Twice she won both awards in the same week. She leads the GSC in hits (68), total bases (122), innings pitched (174 1/3) and wins (22) and is in the top-5 in nine other categories, including batting average (.447, 2nd), slugging percentage (.853), on-base percentage (.541, 2nd), home runs (10, t-5th), runs batted in (51, 2nd), triples (6, 2nd), earned run average (1.24, 2nd), strikeouts (128, 3rd) and opponents batting average (.189, 2nd).
